What a busy weekend we had! I don't have pics right now because I don't have my card reader thingy here, but as soon as I get it I will upload some.
So . . . Friday evening, we went to a Halloween Party at The Little Gym (hopefully maw-maw and paw-paw will send me the pics they took)! It was fun but VERY crowded. I might think twice before doing that one again.
Saturday afternoon, we flipped back and forth between the Carolina and Wake Forest games. We got to celebrate a win for Carolina, but unfotunately, Wake didn't have as good of a day :(
After the games, we went with our friends Dennis and Niki to the Lexington BBQ festival. I must say we were all somewhat disappointed. This was a first for all of us and we just expected there to be like a line of bbq vendors waiting to give us some of their juicy goodness! WRONG! There were only a few places on that strip to get some bbq. There were lots of arts and crafts and other similar type vendors and even a giant pig sandcastle thing, but not alot of bbq. Nonetheless, I was glad to finally go to it. We'd been talking about going for years!
Sunday morning was reserved for church as always. Before going to church though, I did watch my favorite televangelist Joel Osteen while getting ready. I really like his sermons because they focus more on motivational techniques and applying the scripture to modern day life. This past Sunday seemed to speak especially to me. He focused on coming up with goals for your life or business and then making a plan on how you were going to achieve those goals. Great sermon. Check him out at http://www.joelosteen.com/ if you are interested in learning more!
So . . . Sunday evening, we went to the Fall Festival at our church. They put alot of time and effort into making this a great event and I must say the kids looked like they were having a great time! Dillon was maybe still about one year out from really being able to participate in everything, but he had a good time nonetheless.
I am going to post some pics very soon, so stay tuned! Have a good week!
